FYI halak has not played in like 5 or 6 games. its been elliot gettin lit up for the past few games. hopefully the fact that we have a rookie in goalie will make the d step up again. like tride said below me the skaters are not playing like they were last year, so they really need to step it up in order for us to turn it around.

The goaltending numbers have not been good, and Elliot certainly has not played well – but the skaters are not playing the same tight-checking, defensive game that was a major reason why Halak and Elliot won the Jennings last year. Save percentage is down, but far too many of the shots being taken are high-quality scoring chances.

Constantly switching up tenders makes it tough on defencemen to play smoothly. Hopefully the Blues can turn things around – I did not see this slump coming at all. I had them pegged as a 1 or 2 seed in the West. Elliot and Halak need to get on their game.
