Points well taken. I just thought Calgary put up a good fight. As far as the "well orchestrated struggle," I couldn't have put it better. That team looks like it's completely opposed to making plays of any sort. The plan seems to be all dump-n-chase, or create-a-fracas-and-hope-for-the-best, if they don't look altogether lost. I thought the PP was well executed, except they need to SHOOT THE PUCK. It's just hard to know what to make of the team right now.

it wasn't pretty more than was it ugly :D

there were a lot of decent passes at best and failed "potential" opportunities for scoring chances (IMO) ... to me what makes it an ugly win is that Calgary is possibly the worst team in the league and we / Wild struggle to score (AGAIN) and have to win in an OT shoot out. Not once yet have the Wild dominated a game from start to finish and scored at will. Would like to see the Wild win 4-1 or so next time against Calgary in a weeks time.

either way, i'll take the win but eventually this team needs to man the F up and grow a pair. Each game has looked like a well orchestrated struggle to me. Can't tell if this is on the players or coaching staff or both.

Lots of icing, lots of blocked shots, 10 minute stretches of gameplay without a shot on goal, lots of passes that didn't connect...

I'm glad the Wild won but I definitely zoned out a few times while trying to watch the game.

I don't get how that was the "ugliest of wins." IMO, the Wild played really hard and it was close for most of the game. Lots of hits, decent number of shots, fairly evenly matched. What did I miss?
