Last night’s game is the only answer you need for why he should not be re-signed by the team. He was, as usual, awful. Unable to make a decent pass, poor decision making led to 2 goals. We need to be much better going forward and he is not part of the solution.

Revision of history is no way to evaluate a player. Andrew is a good teammate, who plays with spirit and heart. However, that is all he brings to the ice. His decision making is awful, his shot is weak, his passing is bad and his positioning (or the lack thereof) is always a problem. He leaves his zone regularly, hanging his partner and the goalie out to dry. If only his talent matched his heart. Time to move on to a better option.

I love how Ference made it all known. His comments come across as amiable yet expressing clearly what he wants. And Ference has done nothing but get better since he was signed.

Agree on all fronts except the seidenberg point. Boychuck is a better D man than Seidenberg. I understand the german can be dominant but for all the crap we give krej and lucic seidenberg is bostons most inconsistent player. Dougie’s strong play and speed has made up for seidenberg getting constantly burned on the outside and getting caught flat footed. Your right.

I think, I hope he’ll stick around for the rest of his career. I see him playing the Recchi role in 5-6 years from now. He’s well respected; will do anything for his teammates and has been well worth his last contract – which I thought they overpaid- I was VERY wrong. Chiarelli has been loyal and values the type of intangibles he brings. Chiarelli really likes this team. I could see him taking a similar contract to stay here. 3y/6.75m. I’m worried about next off season with Bergeron and Seidenberg – both are due hefty raises. Going into next year; Lucic, Krejci and Seguin will all make more than Bergeron- I don’t see that happening and Seidenberg will make less than Boychuck – He’s worth at least 4m/y for his playoff play alone.

I am one of his biggest fans. One of our most consistent players and a great leader. But there is alot of depth in the pipe line. I wish he could stay but I only see it happening for a 2m/ season deal. 2 yr for 4? I just don’t see him accepting the offer.
