I’m a Red Wings fan, I always have been. However, I’m not the kind of fan that bashes other team’s players (unless it’s in good fun with friends) in order to make my team look better.

Point of fact, I hate Crosby. But as much as I hate him, I think he’s an excellent and highly skilled player.

I’m going to assume the linesman felt taking a puck from skate to stick is still having control of it. Even if he didn’t, linesman aren’t perfect… no official is. Just remember all the times that Tomas Holmstrom was called for interfering with the goalie which resulted in goals being taken away, even when no contact was made.

Linesmen don’t miss many but missed this one. It doesn’t take away from the play nobody let up, he still finished in a dazzling manner. Poor pass hit him in the skates, puck didn’t cross the line before him and he didn’t have possession. Linesmen will probably miss ten more this year that lead to goals but none will be this pretty. I’m not trying to take away from the play, just pointing out that the Wings got a break. Kudos to them for cashing in on it.
