Please no other Flyers fan feel like that. I’ve been watching every game on the NHL network and NBC, and can’t get enough hockey this season. The Flyers, by the way, are hitting their stride (getting 7 of the last possible 8 points). Just got Simmonds back, and Hartnell and Mezsaros will be back relatively soon so the Flyers will be in the thick of things. As for this game, the Kings just don’t seem to be getting any lucky bounces. Jimmy Howard was great but it just seems like the Kings are pressing too much. You gotta think Quick will get back to form eventually, and maybe he’ll start stealing games like last season. But “Flyers West” and the Flyers need to get it going.

Terrible defensive play on the final faceoff with Doughty tipping the puck out to an uncovered point, but…..Quick’s still gotta stop that shot.

It’s beginning to feel like everything that went right in last year’s playoffs is now going wrong for the Kings, and with the short season they may not be able to pull it together…

Kings fans have been miiiiiiiiiighty quiet lately. Hell of a game, Mo-town had me pumped the whole game. Thats damn good hockey, kudos to you Detroit, kudos!

Kind of off-topic, and maybe this is just me, but the lockout has definitely made me less of a hockey fan. I mean, I’m still watching all the Flyers games, will go to a few, and buy Flyers things, but I’m just not into the rest of the league at all. I watched this game today, and I’ve seen a couple Rangers games, but that’s about it; I don’t really have any idea what’s going on in the Western Conference, or really even anything outside of the Atlantic Division, and I don’t really care. It’ll probably change once the playoffs start, but I don’t know. I guess I’m just wondering if anyone else has felt like this so far this season.

Let me get this straight. The greatest athlete Canada ever produced, while living in America and commenting on the national sport of Canada just said that his fav player, and the best player in the last 10 years is a Swede playing and living in Detroit. Canada invades America Tuesday morning.

Nobody should be surprised by this, considering Zetterberg has been one of the Red Wings’ best players for a long time — long enough to prompt The Great One himself, Wayne Gretzky, to say Zetterberg has been his favorite player in the NHL over the last decade.

“I think he’s the best Swedish player they’ve ever put in the NHL,” Gretzky told NHL.com.

Yes, he actually had Lidstrom in mind when he made the comparison, and this isn’t the first time he’s praised Zetterberg like this.

I’ll lose a lot of money b/c of Quick this year. Gotta be something goin’ on we don’t know about. Maybe a nagging injury, leaky defense…Still an elite goaltender. Short season, tuff decision, but gotta dump him soon at the latest.

Howard played out of his mind, it is good to see him get the win in regulation!! He was difference today, glad to see the wings didn’t let up after the kings tied it up. Overall a great win GO WINGS!!!!

As a Wings fan, for the last 3-4, its always has seemed like opponent’s goalies would have career-defining games against us. We’d throw puck after puck on them, only to have them shine and come out on top.

It was really fantastic to finally get to experience it the other way around this time.
