I agree with this. Generally I don’t read the buffalo news sports section for this reason. Buckys gm for a day column in the summer practically breeds stupidity in the hockey faithful…

this is just another example of the standards of the buffalonews. I don’t know nor do I care how high up the marching orders come from, it has been trying to garner page views through shock and awe, often times we see anonymous sources saying lindy and darcy are the worst in the business. In press conferences they will insult then to their face and then ask them to comment on it. First they poisened public opinion on derek roy(with quite a bit of help from wgr) a constant top three point getter since briere drury and cambell left town almost a decade ago. The sabres are so fed up with the buffalo news that they hold bloggers summits embrace the bloggers the one positive light (sometimes around the team). Bottom line here is the buffalo news is more of a problem than the coach and GM, and something makes me think that even though this isn’t natural gas when you can sell a business for billions if dollars you aren’t the idiot bucky gleason paints. Maybe the reporters should try to do their job and not that of the owner gm or coach because personally im sick of it.

I think Pegulas initial idea was he would give Lindy and Darcy an opportunity with a bank roll and see how they perform. It WAS a good idea. But now the team is not performing and he gives Darcy an extension? I could see them playing out this season and then making an assessment .. But to give an extension to a GM who is attached to a coach that has underperformed is a big mistake. As a side note Bucky is just another annoying writer at a bad local paper.
