Frankly the Flyers aren’t good enough this year they need to plan their future now. Get Myers with read a g and perhaps do something with briere now. Use the exemptions on hartnell and Bryz. They need to resign Schenns, cout and G. But somehow better on d. They will be able grab Luongo on the cheap after the Canucks exempt him. Myers salary after this year is not a big hit

So soft he makes Victor Hedman look tough. In his defense, at least Victor is an excellent puck moving defenseman and his one move, the long reach stick sweep (“the flying purse”) is usually effective on defense.

Someone needs to explain to me why they gave him that contract in the first place. Hes a good offensive defensemen, but hasn’t shown hes worth anywhere close to that kind of money yet.

GMs really need to stop giving out contracts based on maximum poptential, and give them out based on how a player actually plays.

why would the Flyers do that? I won’t even get into the salary cap hit. Myers may develop into the player he was projected to be, but these last couple of years he has made Wade Redden’s old contract look like a bargain.

Lindy did this last year and Myers came back and actually was more physical for a few games and then reverted back to the way he’s been playing lately shortly after. The kid has talent and size but he just can’t seem to use it to his advantage. He’s got to add some weight and watch game film of Chara and Pronger soo he can get an understanding of how to use his size to his advantage …not only physically but of how to play against the rush. Truthfully I blame Ruff he has to coach him better and teach him how is positioning affects his overall game
