The trick is to make them wade through a high elbow when you turn your back, ala Gordie Howe. If they hit your back, wheel violently using same elbow with intent to clean out their teeth…finish following through with stick to administer high comb! Rarely do they come near you again. Any back-running coward deserves to be speared and relieved of capacity to pollute the gene pool…

Yeah it never shows up in the sports talk app on the iphone (not when i had a 4, or now the 5)…if i open it up in a browser, the video is there, but not on the app.

Even if Franzen did not have a history of using his stick, this should be suspendable. 2 or 3 games for sure. Perron gave him a bump (not sure if it was a boarding call, but he did hit is back so better safe than sorry I guess) and Franzen retaliated.

To avoid any appearance of favoritism, Shanahan should recuse himself from any disciplinary discussions surrounding the Red Wings.

If suspensions don’t work maybe a shot to the nuts is exactly what the idiots who continually board need to stop it. If you see the back of the jersey of a player in a defenseless position near the boards have respect for you’re fellow player and ease up or take a different angle.
