Funny though, I remember his interview when he said “my wife love to shop” kasper was one of my favorite players ever man. But ya I guess I remember that from YouTube too.. Grew up playing ice hockey I’m 30 now but I must’ve only started watching hockey when Sid got here… Not student rushing the dark yrs for $25 best seats available… Or having my dad take me to my first game in 1990…
And note, he didn’t elbow him kasper would need a step ladder to reach that d bags head…

I don’t have to make excuses for the pens their actions carry more meaning than other teams fan’s excuses. The bottom line is Crosby will continue to be great and I will enjoy everyone’s frustrations and flawed accusations towards him in his rise to a second cup.

First off Crosby was spot on saying NY was classless. I dislike a lot of players in the NHL but would never cheer an injury. Second; all you guys/girls whining about Crosby…. For Crosby or any penguin to question anyone else’s class in the league is a complete joke. The Pittsburgh Penguins are the most classless scum bags of the NHL aside from Crosby complaining, Guys like Orpik, Cooke, Asham, Adams, Neal and Kunitz Beginning with Knee on Knee hits from Orpik. Matt Cooke delivering countless dirty hits, to the crosscheck sucker punch Asham (I know he is not there anymore) cant forget the hair pulling Craig Adams, James Neal leaping/charging to hit someone in the head, and kunitz delivering cheap shot elbows to the back of players heads. So for any one on Pittsburgh to call anyone classy needs a reality check.

I remember when they use to call Lindros a baby I think it was a sports illustrated article. I also remember when people criticized him because he didn’t play with serious head injuries. It was wrong of people then just like it is wrong now. For people to criticize him for diving is a joke. Star players from all the way back to Gretzky were targets for the other teams goons. So they were taught at an early age to get the team on the power play. That’s the truth and that’s hockey and its not going anywhere. Crosby has been in the NHL since he was a teenager and had handled it better then most people could. You can say what you want but he has never done anything that warrants the same disgusting treatment Lindros got. He’s not getting arrested, climbing up in the stands to fight fans, or beating up women like many pro athletes in other sports. He’s young, talented, and had won a lot and people don’t like him. That is fine. But cheering when he is down on the ice and criticizing him for not liking it is just wrong to me.

As a Flyers fan I would never wish/cheer a head injury on anyone, even Crosby. We know what it is like to lose players to head injuries from Eric Lindros, Premo, and to Pronger. Personally I hope Crosby has a long career because it is fun to hate him and he makes the rivalry so much better. Though I will say that Crosby created the hate that follows him in every city. To me when fans cheer his injury it is because he had created a hatred for himself by being a classless hockey player. You get what you deserve.

If Crosby stops crying then people would stop complaining about him. If he changed and learned to keep him mouth shut and play with class, hockey fans everywhere would show more class when watching him. I’ve never seen a hockey superstar so unlikeable as Crosby.

@killerpgh – Ya but that is based on his skill. It changes nothing with the fact that he is a whiner. As for Giroux, he had his first breakout season last year so the 5% isn’t much of a surprise. If Crosby is on your team the whining probably won’t bother you. As for everyone else who plays against him, the fans that watch, the media… Well it makes you lose respect for the guy. That is why Pen fans get so upset, because they have maybe the best player in hockey, but people can’t stand him because he is a baby. Out of all the great players I’ve ever watched, the one who doesn’t inspire hockey fans is without a doubt Crosby. He deserves the reputation he has gotten. He needs to learn how to be a man and play the game without crying. He needs to be a man and learn how to take it with class from opposing fans. He needs to be a man and not care when someone like Mike Milbury cause him a baby. Let’s face it, Crosby is a no class whining little baby. I don’t expect that to ever change. If he conducted himself with class everyone in hockey would have treated him with class.

Rooting for injuries or cheering when a person with a history of serious head injuries get another injury to part of his head is just plain wrong no matter who it is. If you hate someone because of the jersey he wears or his style of play, that is fine. It’s a free country and that’s your right but if you get excited seeing people get a potential career ending injury then that speaks a lot to your character and how you were raised. Do you cheer when a football player gets a spinal injury and is carted off the field in a neck brace? If you can do these things and wake up every morning and look yourself in the mirror then good for you. I know I couldn’t do that. I was raised better than that. I’m very lucky for that. But like I said its a free country and you are free to chose to be better then that too.
