Kesler should be in fine form after milking the injury on duty cow dry...? One has to wonder how his mates will react, the ones who slung a picket sign while Kesler, ahem, rehabilitated? Still, two months working out with the Chinese national acrobatics team, a one month side trip to the Bolshoi seasoned with some one-on-one tutoring with the Flying Wallendas and he's good to go...fly me to the moon!

Canucks have missed Kesler on just about every situation.

They miss his offense as the Sedin line is their only consistent offensive threat.

The powerplay has been sputtering. Neither their first or second power play unit looks particularly effective. They miss his net front presence and his ability to recover loose pucks.

Their penalty kill has been better than the start of the season, but they could use a right-handed faceoff win.

And 5on5 defensively the Canucks have been unable contain another teams #1 centre. Jonathan Toews did everything against them except for score against the Canucks.

I think most obviously to many Canuck number crunchers is their faceoff presence. Kesler takes so many important offensive and defensive zone draws that his absence has really put AV's zone deployment system to test.

Granted Kesler does not solve all these problems, but he does mitigate many of them.
