But I don’t think Sedin’s hit warranted or should be used to defend Keith’s hit. It can’t be done. Suspension should have been longer. But at the same time, I don’t think Keith’s hit automatically nullifies Sedin’s actions in that hit not two minutes before. I think they need to watch both teams tonight specifically for things like that, because that’s more likely to happen.

I didn’t set any riot. Bieska clearly did with his not so smart comments. Some players just state their thoughts, etc. and clearly don’t think before they speak. Thats not me doing so.

I don’t come on here to stir a pot by any stretch, I like PHT. I feel most the people who frequent on here actually have good knowledge of the game. But I am also pretty sure that I am allowed to speak on a player who made comments towards my favorite team which mind you is a solid rivalry.

Gonna go out on a limb here and think that most of you who think I am causing a ‘riot’ had their many thoughts on Kaner during the off-season. Think about it.

As I recall Sedin hit Keith in the corner in the Blackhawks zone and his shoulder was up near Keith’s head – didn’t really look like he went out of his way but given the headshot rules (and given some people scrambling to find a reason why it was okay for Duncan Keith to leap with his elbow out into Sedin’s face later in the game) you can usually find a number of people who will claim almost any hit where someone’s head was contacted is illegal.

In my opinion Sedin’s hit was clean but you could argue (and some have) that it is in that grey area between “clean but not okay” and “outright illegal.”

None of it justifies Keith’s assault which was about as blatant as it gets.

The Bieksa Eager fight is decent, Eager gets that crazy look in his eye. People that dont follow the Canucks might not know that Kassian already fought Eager this season and gave him a concussion. Have no idea why Kassian targeted him other then knowing that hes hated by the team.

I also love how you guys defend Bieska. Dude is a master of cheap shots. Get over the fan aspect and step into the reality.

The way I remember it Sedin hit Keith in the corner – and Blackhawks fans wanted to say that was illegal so they could avoid having to acknowledge that the Keith cheap shot was not only incredibly dirty but pretty much uncalled for.

As for Bieksa cheap shots.. Other than making Stalberg accountable for his high elbows I can’t think of too much (feel free to enlighten me) that’s gone on against the Hawks. Even with the Stalberg fight that’s a pretty well accepted part of the game, a flying elbow to the face of a player that does not even have possession isn’t.

At any rate, I agree it’s going to be a great hockey game.

Hopefully Duncan Keith hears footsteps all night, I’m not calling for anything dirty but the Canucks need to play the body on him. Both because he’s a great player that needs to be neutralized, and because he’s a complete punk that has it coming.

Well then, im bitter that you feel that you can do cheap shots as long as they don’t inflict serious injury. Smh.

Love how the Canucks act like the Hawks/Canucks matchups haven’t had their share of blows since prior to the Keith hit. People forget so quickly that Sedin slashed the crap out of Keith prior to that. Pretty sure of Toews or Kane did that to Bieska that his cheap shot meter may have gone up a notch.

Regardless, as a Hawks fan, I cheer matchups against Vancouver like as if its a playoff game. Always sick games to watch. Hockey Is Back. Lets go Hawks!!
