Red Wings certainly don’t seem to be doing so hot, but neither do the Predators. Every team hits a slump…just a matter of how long it lasts and the reasons behind it.

The Preds have always been slow to take off and they very well might miss the playoffs in the shortened season. But I think they’ll find more success in the next full 82-game season.

Man I seem to remember, back in April of last year when Nashville bounced Detroit from the playoffs, a lot of talk that the Red Wings are done and the Predators are the new NHL…(lots of crickets chirping)

Sorry bud but your thinking about Phoenix. Nashville has a solid fan base granted they are not on the level of Philly or NYR. If they let weber walk it would have been worse for the franchise. 90% of jersey sales there are weber ie fan favorite. That’s like saying Philly should just let Giroux walk for 4 first rounders. Philly fans would have managements asses on a platter

I’m sorry, Irishphilly? I believe we can afford him, as we’re currently paying for him. Matching an offer from the Flyers has nothing to do with performance on the ice…and Nashville will have a team for -several- years to come.

Consistent playoff appearances (7 in the last 8 years), a solid enough roster, a devoted local fanbase and ownership group, and a new long-term Fox Sports television deal to make sure every Predators game is broadcast in the Predators market.

Do your research before you bash a team.

Yes, I know you weren’t talking about Dumba, you were calling him a dumba** and for good reasons. The Preds aren’t going anywhere and have a surprisingly SOLID fan base.

I hope Nashville is the worst team in the league for the next 20 years. They should have let the Flyers get Weber instead they are paying all that money now and cant afford it. Nashville won’t even have a team in 2 or 3 years they’ll move to Seattle or something.
