Senators forward Jason Spezza will miss his second straight game tonight with an injury the club isn’t willing to — or possibly just can’t — say much about.

“We’re waiting on the evaluation,” said Ottawa coach Paul MacLean today, per Sportsnet’s Ian Mendes. “We don’t know.”

Spezza apparently suffered the “upper body” injury Sunday against the Penguins. The Sens managed to beat Washington last night without the 29-year-old, but an extended absence would prove a significant challenge.

Won last night without him but Sens need him back as soon as possible. I guess it’s better to have to him healthy for the playoffs though. Sens are looking great with a balanced attack, solid D and Anderson playing at a Vezina level.

Sens v habs should b a good one tonight. Habs are off to a fast start so there annoying fans should be out in full force tonight at scotiabank place. Hoping Spezza’s injury is not to serious.
