You can see skinner holding bergerons stick in his right hand while his elbow is in bergerons chest… And his leg behind his leg…. What more proof do you need? Bergerons not a dirty player and not a fighter.

I see that differently than you, apparently. Skinner isn’t pushing his knee forward, but drags it behind him (and in the process it trails Bergeron) and in the process they both fall back. Bergeron has no where to go with his legs and gets off balance as he stands up – which he does since he has to go tight to the back of the net. Since he’s top heavy at that point and Skinner is then pulling back on him with his arm and shoulder he’s bound to fall backwards.

Did Skinner plan it that way, or even react to the situation in what was meant to be a slew foot? I don’t know, but having a leg behind and an arm in front of someone when they fall down doesn’t automatically mean slew foot. I’ve certainly seen much more obvious attempts at it than this one, which can easily be seen as unintended by Skinner no matter how it felt for Bergeron.

You know something happened when Patrice Bergeron gets pissed off but what I don’t get is why does Skinner deny doing it he knows he did and its obvious in watching the game

He’s going to be watched like a hawk and I sure hope he knows it. Doesn’t deserve to be playing right now doing stuff like this, and if he doesn’t get nailed for this one he will shortly in the future when he inevitably does it again. Get off the ice if you can’t properly check someone (hell with the new interference rule being overly enforced so far this year, he’d atleast get that if he were to have properly checked Bergeron anyways), and resort to being a dirty little kid slew-footing your way through a man’s game.

At 1:34 of the tape Skinner has his left elbow in Bergeron’s chest/abs, and his left knee/ankle behind Bergeron’s knee/shin.

At 1:34:05 of the tape his knee has moved forward kicking Bergeron’s leg forward, while Skinner pushes his elbow back into Bergeron’s chest. This is clear in slow mo

At 1:35 Bergeron is airborn with Skinners elbow in his chest and Skinner’s knee behind his knee.

Perhaps “slew knee” is a better term than “slew foot”, but he absolutely did this clear as day in the video.

A usually mild mannered Patrice Bergeron doesnt get pissed off too easy. Slew foot or not, Skinner took Bergeron down. Cant say for sure if it was dirty, however, it did not have the perception of being clean either.

Definitely looked like he used his legs and pulled back on Bergeron’s upper body. The way he keeps saying “I watched the tape” as if he weren’t there and “I think I….”…is all the indication you really need.

Actually, Bergeron saying he knows he did it is really all the indication you need. Hopefully it’s watched closer now.
