I think Ruff knows this is the end for him… The players have no urgency and the loyal fan base in Buffalo is fed up!! 2 minutes left in regulation and he puts Matt Ellis on the ice? The guy is a grinder but he shouldn’t have been out there. It’s time for a full scale overhaul!!

Absolutely right. Whereas I agree that Kalets had a slight opportunity to defend himself, as the head coach, ya’ gotta have your player’s back. I’m wondering if the lukewarm comment by Ruff is some sort of backhanded jab at the man. Maybe there’s some discord beneath the surface here?.

Why would a coach defend an opponent on an item that should be sent to a hearing. Defending the opponent will probably prevent the hearing.

Holy crap! Even if you actually think it was clean, you have to defend your player. How can anybody want to play for this guy? Pegula, wake up, Lindy is awful!

Agree with Ruff. Disappointed bc, as much as I dislike Kaleta, he probably won’t play tomorrow against the Bs and he is good at adding emotion to the game. I was looking forward to the Bruins going at it with Kaleta, Scott, Ott, etc..

I’m glad Ruff made those comments, too many players are seeing a hit coming and turning their backs on the skater, to take a boarding or hit from behind call.

You don’t like to see anyone get a neck/head injury and Kaleta looked like he got squished awkwardly, face first into the glass, but you see him face towards his own zone, he peeks and sees Brown coming, then turns his back to him, that is dangerous on his part and its nice to see a coach recognize that he put himself into a vulnerable position.
