Marleau first in over 95 years to score multiple goals in four straight to start the year

Patrick Marleau‘s white-hot start to the season just continues to scorch on.

In the first period of this afternoon’s game against the Avalanche, Marleau scored two power play goals to extend his streak of multiple goal games to start the season at four. He’s the first player since the immortal Cy Denneny of the 1917-1918 Ottawa Senators to pull that off. And here you thought doing something Peter Stastny did in the 82-83 season was impressive.

Marleau’s two tallies give him eight goals on the season extending his NHL lead points lead (tied with Joe Thornton) to 11 as the Sharks won 4-0 to improve to 4-0-0.

That jack@$$ will probably try to take credit for it, as if his comments were what motivated Patty to go on this streak. JR is an idiot.

Men VS Boys out there in this one. Sharks are eating them alive.

Just when you think the Avs might be improving… you see them play against a Cup contending team and realize… there’s a LONG way to go.

I’m also not a fan of the ‘smaller but faster’ philosophy… which is NOT working for the Avsr… from what I’m watching, the Sharks are bigger, faster, hungrier… and just toying with the boys from Colorado.

All of his goals have been from legitimate passes from Thorton and so on. However there still needs to be a natural talent from Marleau to score. Rumors that he is a trade ticket n not producing are dead. Eat it Roenick!!
