The Caps need defense… I don’t care if they give up both Mike Green and John Carlson to do it. Get this guy! Might take some crazy 3 team trade like they do in the NBA, if those are even allowed in the NHL? But Caps… you need defense. Once you get that, Ovechkin can start leaking out for some breakaways. Others can join him, and be more focused in the offensive zone instead of just basically “waiting for the Caps to lose the puck so they can skate back on defense.”

I got into hockey about three years after the last time Philly won the Cup. So obviously, that was a loooooooooong time ago.

It’s rather pathetic that you take the ravings of a few fans and use that to paint all fans the same color. I don’t label all Flyer fans as murderers just because your team is based in Pennsylvania’s murder capital.

Thank god that although I was born just outside of Philly, my family moved to the saner side of the state when I was too young to know how close I came to nearly an entire life without a Stanley Cup Championship.

If I am Stevie Y I am on the phone trying to figure out how to bring him to Tampa. Not sure we have the pieces but they really need top end D help. Hedman is solid but guys like Brewer and Salo are just too slow to compete. I think the Islanders had 6 breakaways due to bad defense.
