I see what you mean. Looks NOTHING at all like this hit in question. Orpik’s skates lift off when he goes in opposite direction from impact. Schenn lifts off in same direction as impact and prior to hitting.

Flyers all-time vs Pens: 141-83-30. Postseason series head to head: 4-2 Flyers. Pens didn’t win a series against the Flyers until 08 after they lost their way back to relevancy. Flyers 36 playoff appearances in 44 seasons, second best winning percentage of all-time. 16 division titles. The Penguins just kept losing til they got something out of it- namely Ryan Whitney, Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, MA Fleury, and Jordan Staal. Call us scumbags despite Pitts reputation as one of the dirtiest teams around the NHL. Just ask Tortorella and Milbury. Given their penchant for dirty play it must mean something.

I agree, great franchises don’t need to win Stanley Cups for at least 38 years to maintain their greatness. The Pens win way too frequently for that.

Hey phillychris im guessing the fact that philly is a big market team (2.5 million people in the city) and pittsburgh is a small market team (250,000 people in the city) has nothing to do with those numbers huh? When both teams broke into the league in 67 the flyers were a large market team that could buy their talent while the pens couldnt so they had to settle for the scraps and minor leaguers. Its ok though you can throw out all the numbers you want. Now pittsburgh drew a 19.4 local viewing for game 1 while philly just drew a 8.5. None of that matters though as the cup is all that matters and your probably not even old enough to have seen your team lift that beautiful trophy live. 1975 is a long long long time ago and that must suck.

That was the year coming off the bad season we had finishing with the lowest points in the league. Every other year, we are at or OVER 100% capacity.

As far as guys on the team and where they are drafted… Our owners chose to not tank seasons and settle for draft picks to build our team, and instead chose to make playoff runs those years you guys chose to suck.
