There’s no doubt he’s a legitimate prospect, I think he’ll b successful in the NHL, but a lot of people expect him to automatically put up points in the show. It’s simply not gonna happen, especially with the depth that the Rangers have. He should be playing in the AHL to grow more and get his confidence up. Once he lights that league, call him up. There’s no use putting him on the 4th line.

Actually – Grossman did that to Crosby in the Philthy game, it was a good, clean hit. Crosby returned the favor against Stu Bickel of the Rangers. These guys hit each other all the time – as long as it’s clean, no one objects.

In the end, not sure what the problem is with your ego, whether Crosby hurt it, or whether you think a player getting hurt will in some way improve the game or your view of it (you must be from Philadelphia), but you are a fan that very few teams want.

for coming into the playoffs for the first time as a rookie and being effective, i think he deserves some attention. he has a pretty good college and junior resume too…he has 10 goals in world junior play…same as mike modano….and has a couple beanpot’s, a junior gold and bronze medal, and couple national championships.

I’m sure you’d love to believe that. Just as I’m sure you’d love to believe he’s as hated among his peers as he is among rival fans. That must be why he cleaned house in the NHL Player Poll 2 seasons ago……because he’s so despised by his peers. Try again. He’s already taken plenty of contact over the first two games and is playing as he always has. Still going into the corners and mixing it up along the boards like always.

I’m sure there are 700 NHL pros that would love to, but when was the last time anyone saw Crosby try to skate up the middle with the puck? I can’t say I blame him, but that use to be his bread and butter… and now he looks like hes playing not to get hit. No one needs to hit him since he’ll never be the same if hes playing with that kind of fear.

And for anyone who wants to argue Crosby isn’t playing with fear, just watch the Flyers goal from Saturdays game. Crosby had an easy play on the puck to keep it in the Flyers zone, but he knew he was going to get hit and just backed off…. Flyers took the puck and it ended up in the Pens net. That wouldn’t have happened two years ago.

His shoulder does graze the jaw, but it wasn’t the principle point of contact… thus its a clean hit.

Kreider has the speed and the hands, but man he has to keep that head up or hes going to get killed.

Orpik is a beast. Sucks that he might of got hurt, but you have to keep your head up coming across the trolley tracks.
