Lightning fans are happy for you. I think Vinny is a big key to the Lightning season this year. We know what we are going to get out of Stamkos and St. Louis but if Vinny can get that 2nd line producing at a solid pace, the Bolts will be tough. He may not be the 50 goal scorer he was in the past but he has become a solid 2 way player (much like Yzerman who transformed his playing style as his career progressed) who wins faceoffs and makes his teammates better (see Teddy Purcell).

On top of that he is outstanding in the community-a guy Tampa can be proud of. While the excessive cap hit hurts (thanks Koules and Barrie), Vinny is too productive (and his remaining contract has too much time left) to be a candidate to bought out. I, for one, hope he finishes his career in Tampa.
