Hand passes are legal in the defensive zone (as long as the hand pass in completed in the zone meaning a player can’t push the puck form the defensive zone with his hand to a teammate in the neutral zone).

Forgive the confusion, but how does one use their hands to win a face off without it being a hand pass in the first place?

Nash is a headhunter, whenever he’s on the ice I feel scared for the players. He’s looking for hits more then goals. Looks like teams have much more to fear besides 71 a d 87.

Interesting part of that rule was that the clock goes back to the time before the face off. And since the Penguins just had a penalty called this penalties goes at the same time. Which helped out the Penguins when the Rangers scored on the 5 on 3 and they were allowed to pick what players comes out of the box. And they chose Sutter since he is on the top PK line. If the game clock didn’t go back then Sutter would have still been in the box and the 3rd pairing d-man would have came out.
