WOW someone needs to look up bankruptcy in the dictionary. Bankruptcy is NOT a way to pay back debt, it forgives debt. I’m really dismayed by the hom0phobic and prejudicial comments that have been made in this thread’s comments section.

These comments have been made by both Philadelphia and Pittsburgh fans and these sorts of posts are ignorant, immature, antiquated and deeply offensive.

To those that have made these comments – are you so insecure in your own sexuality that you must spout off with such low-brow, racist statements?

These hom0phobic statements tarnish not only the reputation of those who make these comments, but also that of the sport of ice hockey itself….not to mention the hurt such comments can cause to any of hockey’s LGBT fans who might be reading this thread, as well as to straight allies of the LGBT community like myself who have good friends and family members that are part of the LGBT community.

Note – I had to put a zero in place of an “o” in two areas of my post. I guess PHT has their censor settings set a little too high as I sincerely doubt they would’ve censored and deleted my post the last two times I posted it…if they’d just READ IT FIRST.

Actually my job is closer to Philly which is another reason I know how bad the fans are. Oh and by the way I’m not a kid just not born in the mid 70′s when the flyers actually won something. Yes, you have two OF the best not the two best, however the two “best” players happened to get manhandled in the playoffs. One, Cindy was simply repeatedly outplayed and dumped on by G and the other was shut down by a 19 year old greenhorn with superstar skills. The latter scenario resulted in Gina taking the stupid frustration penalties and head hunting tactics that has become a habit for her.

The Penguins are a pretty pathetic franchise in the overall picture. The team intentionally lost so they could draft Lemieux and were so bad for a stretch that they finished high enough to draft MAF, Crosby, Malkin and Stahl in successive drafts. The Penguins throughout their history have missed the playoffs as regularly as the Flyers have made the conference finals. They have also missed the playoffs more than twice as many times as the Flyers have. The Flyers are 4-2 against the Penguins all time in playoff series and have dominated the regular season match since both teams came into existence. 1975 is very special to Penguins fans as that is the first time their illustrious franchise filed for bankruptcy and they managed to pull off the rare feat of winning the first 3 games of a playoff series only to lose the series. Basically the Penguins suck for long stretches of time so they can amass talent and be relevant for short stretches. Historically speaking, it wasn’t much of franchise until 1990. Be proud.

He was just answering a question on the dirty play of the penguins. I wouldn’t consider it crying when you are just answering a question honestly. He played through the injury too and did not use it as an excuse.
