Ave age of Red Wings is 29… Average of of the Youngest team (Avs) is 26. Really not much different… and dirt is much older!

Plus, take a look at the ‘older’ teams… more ‘older’ teams make the playoffs.

The Wings DO need some ‘younger’ prospects to step up and show they are future stars – Helm is the only ‘stand out’. Others not so much…see Abdelkader…. Emmerton, Lashoff, Smith are still very green.

Looking for the next Hank and Dats – who if you’ll recall were 7th and 6th round picks.

I don’t think any of us wings fans are to excited … We didnt get anyone from free agency and our team is old as dirt. But I did lose all interest in the NHL when the lock out began. Bring on baseball
