WHY? Boosh was a shot goalie when they let him go so I can’t see him coming back, unless he’s going to work with the broadcast crew. He’s a hell of a nice guy but we know where they finish. Leighton is a better back-up option at this point in time. As far as Alt for Pither, that sounds like a decent trade. I just hope the can cut boosh or he can retire without a cap hit. If there is no cap hit, I’m fine with Boosh coming back to retire as a Flyer (who wouldn’t want to be able to do that?).

More interested in Mr. Alt. I wonder if he has the ability to make it to Broad and Patterson in the near future. At least this adds to the Phantoms’ defensive depth. Booooooooosh.

I thought he had a season with the Phantoms also. So technically fourth time which has to be some kind of record. I love Boosh, and you never know what your going to get with Bryz. After trading Boucher to the Hotels for Handzus and Esche he had a streak of shut outs of five or six games. Maybe with three streaky goalies at least one will be on a hot streak come playoff time.

Interesting that the Flyers got Boucher and Alt. Alt is potential 3rd/4th defensman with a big body. He had great athletic pedigree and will hit is prime at about 25/26. Pither has talent, but really is a guy without a line. He is quick, but doesnt have great scoring touch and he lacks the stones to hit in the corners. This looks more like Panthers saving money and giving Alt up to make up for it.
