Now live in Arizona and thank God they have have more hockey here than most would expect: Juniors, College — AZ St. & AZ, Double A and NHL. I just wish the single game tickets to the Coyotes were less. I’m still checking, but so far the lowest price I can come up with is is $40! I’ll go to some “Kiyots” (as we in the north call the varmints) games but will watch the college more. College is $10. I’ll just keep my stick on the ice and keep looking for a better deal than what I’ve found so far, but I’m elated the “Kiyots” are back in action!

Its always a treat when your team gets the national broadcast because its the one game the canucks play against the penguins per year as an example.
And I, like many people would like to see how my team stacks up to some of the east talent?
And on the other side, I like to go to the “once a season” games when they come to town, Penguins, Flyers, Canadians, Caps, Rangers etc. much more then just another wednesday night when the wild or stars are visiting.

But comon man, this lockout was ridiculous and I was sick of hearing about it. Im not gonna be a sheep here, YES I’m happy hockey is back, I have lived it and played it for 25 years. Its wasn’t just part of my life, it WAS my life growing up in Calgary and I watch hockey like its a religion itself.
But Im not just gonna mindlessly head back to the rink and give them my money. I wish fans would take their own stand here and lock themselves out for a week even just to show Bettman, owners and players that we have a voice. It’s our money they need. Here in canada they will come back but in some american cities its gonna be rough.

What are you whining about. Philly/Pittsburgh is one of the NHL’s most heated rivalries at present and one that’s been around for a while. Why does it not make sense to open the season with that.

in a 48 game schedule you HAVE to play as many games within your division and conference. If this was a 62 game schedule, you would see a lot more games out East, but this regular season, there just isn’t enough room.

I agree. I don’t see the league doing anything and I think they will let each team decide on their own if they want to offer anything to their fans.

MN is having another free scrimmage on wed night at 7 and a hot rumor going around is at the hockey lodges (MN Wild merchandise stores, about 5 of them in the twin cities) will be offering 50% off everything except game worn merch…. so in other words I can pick up a new Parise jersey for $90 or whatever it comes out to be.

well being the Wild have division games in the early time zones of Colorado, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary; I’m guessing it won’t be too hard to leave work on time and get home for the drop of the puck. Heck, I’ll have bonus time to eat dinner, read a book to the kids, help them with their homework, hangout with the wife, take a nap, tuck the kids into bed, do the dishes, clean the house, wash the car, take a shower, shave, watch the prime time shows (on NBC course), and I will still have plenty of time before the game starts.
