Four games against each conference opponent is the way to go. If it means extending the season an extra 2 weeks, so be it. Everything is already screwed anyway.

The NHL’s two biggest stars register a low 7 percent total “Awareness,” an E-Poll Market Research measurement that averages name and face recognition.”

While you scoff at other sports, your beloved NHL is not much more than a passing joke for a vast number of sports fans. Oh, and there were 111 million people watching the SuperBowl last year and a whoooping 3 million people who watch the Stanley Cup. Go figure, eh.
