When it comes to trades, shero doesn’t typically get the weaker end of the deal however Gonchar is relatively slow now at this point in his career. He has some defensive breakdowns more frequently now. He would provide excellent leadership to a defensive unit that lacks it now aside from Orpik.

It’d be nice to have all of our very young puck moving defensemen learn from him, similarly how letang did as well.
