I have a feeling Crosby would have been playing in Europe by now if he could, but you have to remember he comes with a HUGE extra cost to any team that signs him… insurance. Thats the problem with having a concussion prone head and a massive contract.

While I can see Crosby’s point, and I’m sure almost all players/coaches would love a few pre-seasons games…. its almost certainly not going to happen. If there was time to play 2-3 extra games, they would simply be added to the season to make it a bit longer. I could see MAYBE one pre-season game for each team during the one week training camp, but its unlikely to be more then that.

He could of been playing in other leagues like the rest of the players. There’s no more time for exhibition games. They’ve been going on since September anyway.

One of the few times I agree 100% with Crosby and the Pittsburgh fan above. Exhibition games would definitely help get teams prepared for the season and not waste regular games on basically practices. Now get this deal done so we can at least have SOME Hockey!!!!

He does have a point. 2 or 3 wouldn’t be a bad thing for most players and owners make 100% of the money from preseason games so I’m sure they wouldn’t be to against it. The sooner a deal gets made the better chance there is of the happening.
