I was at the game as well…and I think James O’Brien needs to get his facts straight. Ford Field had about 40% Bears fans at the game…correct me if i’m wrong; but wouldnt Bears fans mostly be Blackhawks fans as well? This probably had nothing to do with the fact that the Wings and Hawks hate each other…you’re a tool, O’Brien.

I was there and I can easily confirm this was blown out of proportion. The “booing” was maybe only very slightly louder than the cheers and only right at the end. And for the maybe 20% of the place that cared enough to let out a limp “boo” it wasn’t because it was Holland it was because of the lockout. Remember this city was supposed to host the biggest hockey game in history with a week long hockey festival that very week. Many folks got tix and planned the trip before the lockout and ended up likely stubhubbing Lions tickets after the fact. Its about the lockout, not Holland.

this speaks volumes for Detroit fans, as much as the lions suck, They know Kenny Holland means the world to this franchise and city. Kenny doesnt get booed unless theres something bad. this qualifies as something bad
