Teams are allowed to add up to 3 players from other teams in their league for this tournament. Davos added Kane, the Swiss league’s top scorer Damien Brunner (Red Wings) and Rafael Diaz of the Montreal Canadiens. All players are still property of and will return to their respective Swiss team when the tournament ends unless they are coming back to play in the NHL….

Kane scored twice in the game, including the game-winner. Thornton is on the roster - he scored a goal on Sunday, too - but Nash's injury did indeed sideline him for the tourney. The post's been updated to reflect that. Here's a game sheet if you want extra proof:

Maybe his Biel contract was up and Davos signed him just for the tournament so they could try to stack up against Canada

Yea I’m pretty sure you’re right … wasn’t there just an article with Kane deking out schneider in a shootout in one of the leagues. Also didn’t Nash head home with an injury a while back? or had he gone back to Europe again?

When did Kane start playing for Davos? Last I heard he was on EHC Biel before Seguin split.
