This is why I prefer watching games between us and the States. They teach the whole game in the States, same as is done here – none of this pathetic borderline-no-touch hockey the IIHF seems to want to force down everyone’s throats. Protip for Euro prospects: it doesn’t matter what the IIHF wants. If you want to play in the NHL, you’re going to have to learn to play the whole game. That includes a lot of hits. And some players have that figured out – Niederreiter and Baertschi come to mind – but others, like a certain overhyped Russian, do not. Guess what, Yak? Once this tournament’s done and you make it to the NHL, you won’t be able to cower behind IIHF rules anymore.

Canada has to stop playing their aggressive rough play. They have to realize the IIHF won’t allow them to play their style of hockey. It gets annoying after awhile hearing the Other countries whine and cry about how rough Canada is. Well duh that’s how your supposed to play hockey.

Lipon’s hit was pretty dirty but Camara’s was good, hard hockey. Not worth a five and a game or minor. Good thing the IIHF knows it, too. Apparently officials told him to his face that it was clean and he won’t be suspended.
