No way Fleury is anywhere near the top 5. He is overrated by analysts who measure a goalie’s play based on the number of wins he has. Fleury has all of those wins because of a high powered offense and the lack of a legit back-up. I personally would take both of your team’s goalies over Fleury. The man got outplayed by Ilya Bryzgalov in the playoffs…. that’s sad.

Schneider is good; no doubt, but to call him the second best goalie in the league is a huge stretch. He’s in the same boat with Rask; although his best season was 45 games compared to Schneider’s 33. Schneider has 68 NHL games under his belt. there is NO way you can call him the undisputed 2md best goalie in the league. There would be a far better argument for Rask and as a boston fan; right now that’s absurd. He could be in the next few years as could Schneider. it’s there for both of them. You wouldn’t have put Quick on that list before last year and probably not lundquist either. Miller has been olympic miller in a few years, and Price can be that good, but sometimes just isn’t 5-8 is about right for him – ages excluded. I’ll give you leaving off Thomas who has been the best for 3 of the last 5 years; one of those years he had a torn hip; which is why Rask played because he’s nuts and not playing (but none of them are…) but HOW can you leave Rinne out of the Top 5? an argument could be made for Fleury as well. top 5 no order; Rinne, Quick, lundquist, fleury howard. Price, miller, Schneider bring up the next 3. Don’t get me wrong; he is good and along with Rask have the potential to be the best in the league, but less than 70 games is not enough. see andrew raycroft.

Kane is a puke and his little “tinker bell” moves mean nothing! Not to mention the fact that Cory Schneider is the undisputed #2 goaltender in the NHL today, having just usurped the Michelin Man himself and leaving the Canuckle management with a “Lehman Brothers” sized headache! (ie: actually Luongo’s already been traded ) … anyway, here it is again for those that missed this the last time …

martysbetter, don’t be surprise if it gets to that. You might see it sooner than you think as teams look to increase revenue through ads. It might start with one logo on the helmet, then the jersey, pants etc…, there was a time when the ice and boards were void of all publicity.
