just got done watching Dubinsky play with the Aces, and Ryan Reaves playing in Orlando, Kyle Clifford playing in Ontario… the list goes on and on!

ECHL is right on par with the AHL this year, because if the lockout guys are jumping strait to the ECHL to get ice time. its such a great league. not violent, fast paced, and stacked talent!

Right now this game IS A MINOR LEAUGE SPORT, trying to be a big league sport.

This kind of “ECHL signing” is exactly what the sport needs, that is…to get itself where it belongs so it can flourish. Get the players, owners and fans to realize that they are a “minor league sport.” The sooner the FANS realize this, and therefore demand ticket prices to be $9 a seat, and beers $3 a paper glass the sooner the players and owners will realize that THAT IS what this sport is worth.

Example, for a third line center on the “idiotic” Florida Panthers to make $3 mil a year is insane. And it’s killing this sport. Change the economics to match the reality of this sport and the game will go. But to expect fans to pay for players to play for millions a year (and here’s the rub, the owners STILL lose money) is just f**king stupid. You have owners and players who all think they are big league, sticking it to fans who WISH they were, and all you end up with this lockout after lockout.
