I’m not surprised that games won’t start until mid Jan, but, the fact that they announced the cancellation; instead of announcing the season would start Jan 15 is jaw dropping. This is shocking….. I need a drink, and if the cup was still in town then I’d be drinking out of it until I was pissed. Right now I’m too stunned to make any calls to my sources, but, fear not, there will be calls going out later. I leave you with this article;

Expect word today\tonight the NHL will cancel regular season games thru Jan 14th. End of the line after that…I suspect.

For someone who’s supposed to be a critical part of getting any kind of a season in, Fehr sure sounds like an average fan: On the outside looking in, wondering where the hell the people are who are supposed to be running the store. Just another CYA moment….

Like many of you friends, I too am just a humble “Lover of Truth” who seeks nothing more in life than a fair chance on an “even” playing field, God willing. And on that score, this admission today by Daly is met by us with a sense of great relief and gratitude. You’re “BUSTED” Mister Bettman and we’ll have you know that that comes not a minute too soon, you bastard !

Right from the start back in September, we suspected that this lockout was nothing more than a “charade” designed to eliminate the forward end of the schedule … we suspected that Donald Fehr was a “compromised” patsy who you fiendishly placed at the helm of your nemesis in-order to ensure the outcome of your agenda … we suspected that your “new order” (diktat) to the players was already a “fait accompli” as far back as last summer … and we suspected that the owners and certain “elite” players have been apprised of your little caper right from the beginning. Well today my friend, thanks to your stupid “bald-headed” lieutenant Kojak, that which we’ve suspected all along now appears to be finally vindicated !

And so the show will recommence in January and I’ll be watching no doubt because I’m a “true” fan of hockey, as is most everyone else who visits this site. Nonetheless, your little charade here is fraught with blind arrogance and a complete lack of real vision. Your expansion into the American “sunbelt” has been a colossal failure and no amount of “fake” lockouts or “player bashing” will ever change that. Yes, you might think that you’re now about to take a big step forward ? But trust me friend, come next summer you’re likely to find yourself a whole three steps behind … and that’s a shame.
