It was more than obvious he was going #2….

Not saying Murray isn’t a great prospect but I don’t think we’ll look back in 10 years and say he was a better choice over Galchenyuk or others. Murray was a safe pick and NHL ready and I am willing to bet the Jackets couldn’t afford to lose out on another 1st round pick so Murray was their man if he was there… My curious thought was always if Murray went #1 (which was never going to happen) but what if, who would have gone #2? The Jackets made it sound like they wanted nothing to do with Yakupov. Would it have been Yak / Galchenyuk or would they have traded out of the #2? who knows.
