holy crap that is too funny because I did the SAME THING with my license plate!

I refuse to give the NHL ANY publicity whatsoever!!!

TOOK OFF MY BLACKHAWKS plate and put on my local Fort Wayne Komets who are celebrating their 60th anniversary along with their legendary rink announcer, 2012 Lester Patrick award winner Bob Chase!!!

that’s 60 years of hockey with no darn lockouts!!! the way the game should be played!

You seem to have forgotten (never knew?) that the Rams originated in Cleveland. I’d much prefer to see an expansion club when L.A. gets another team. Even the Chargers moving there would be okay, since that’s where they started. Anyone but the Raiders.

Thumbs up for removing the plates because it says NHL at the top, but maybe you can just put some tape over the top so the “Los Angeles Kings” still appears at the bottom.

the casual fans have already forgot LA won. I live in LA and the support was overwhelming. so many fans at the parade, so many NEW fans, who now are wondering why there is no hockey.

as a lifelong hockey player and fan of the NHL, I forced myself to remove my LA kings license plate frame about a month ago. Main resin being it read National Hockey League at the top. and I don’t want to give those @$$holes any publicity, even if it costs me supporting my Kings.

sad times around North America for hockey fans…

I have to agree with you in part only…true, their is that “latest buzz” thing but there are hardcore Kings fans here for 45 years (me being one of them) and THAT is really what this city is all about…the hardcore base for the Lakers, Kings, Clippers, and Dodgers.

And Rams when they come back in a few years. Sorry St. Louis, we are just getting back what was rightfully ours to begin with.

Most of LA forgot about the Kings 48 hours after the win, the ones that haven’t are the hockey fans. They will never forget, but don’t fool yourselves, any hockey interest bump in LA has by in large disappeared.

LA is abuzz about the Lakers woes and the Dodgers chances this year. LA is the ultimate “What have you done for me lately” city if there ever was one.

BROWN KNOWS THE DEAL !

No doubt this lockout has been upsetting for all, however we LA Kings probably stand to lose the most of all. Last year was truly special for us, almost “magical” in a way, considering the fact that we were an 8th seed who absolutely no one gave the slightest of chances to (ie: apart from me of course ). So while this delay is bad anywhere in the “sunbelt” in terms of losing fans and turning away interest, in an “uber” fake and superficial place like Los Angeles, it’s especially dangerous. Despite the small hardcore who go to the games and are in it for the long haul, the Kings might not even be in the Top 10 when it comes to popularity there in southern California. Sure they’re the original “sunbelt” team which was blessed with “committed and visionary” ownership right from the start with Jack Kent Cooke. And sure some much needed momentum and street cred was finally attained with last year’s glorious campaign (ie: first time in almost 20 years since Gretzky). But an extended lockout like this could see that all fly right out the window. No different than an actor whose best days have come and gone and now finds himself jobless. And that’s a shame. I’ve felt all along that the loss of October and November was no big deal, especially for us Kings. However risking the entire season like this is stupid and dangerous. And as Captain Brown soberly points out, we LA Kings may stand to lose the most of all ? …
