can’t understand why a deal isn’t done yet. There is a deal to be had here but egos and greed keep getting in the way.

Not having a drop dead date shows just how arrogant and ignorant the NHL is. I’m LMAO that they can’t even get together in the same room to discuss terms of surrender. Too funny how now NBA players and owners are offering the sissies in pads with sticks on ice who try to see who gets in the best cheap shot advice as to making an agreement.

I’d say that the drop dead date has already passed, the season is lost because they aren’t even close to making an agreement. The pathetic NHL should just shrivel up and die the ignominious death it so richly deserves. That would be the best thing that could happen to NHL fans.

There are three issues that the owners consider very important, but the players refuse to address them. It’s beyond me that they are willing to lose $1.7b in salaries.” Well! There you have it! Cancel the season, move some teams to better locations (Quebec, Seattle, etc) or remove them completely, and hash out a long-term CBA that actually works in favor of the league’s long-term health (and doesn’t need to be completely blown up every 6 or 7 years). Finally, just for the sake of change, both the NHL and PA should force a change in leadership…get some new blood in there. It is time for that.

This is a legal move. If they admit to considering it, they are admitting that they are not currently bargaining in good faith, thus giving the NHLPA ammunition for a Disclaimer of Interest and an immediate anti-trust lawsuit. Right now, the NHL is sticking it to the union hard, not budging from their offer and even reducing the amount of “make whole” money they offered last week. Setting a drop dead date to go along with it would put the NHL in a weak position if this goes the legal route.

Who cares at this point? I feel like us fans have done everything possible. our voices have been heard, and neglected.

I am getting by watching ECHL on America One Sports online, and also college hockey on NBCSports network. best thing ever during the lockout. you’d be surprised how stacked the league’s are due to the NHL. the ECHL is not full of AHL players, and the AHL is full of NHL players. pretty cool seeing guys like Ryan Clowe, Devon Settagucci, Ryan Reaves, Brandon Dubinsky, etc. all playing in the East Coast Hockey League!

When they come back ticket prices will simply hold for a year before they go up again! Losing a year does help the Leafs though. They needed a year to regroup. Go Leafs!
