The bars and stars are American history. It’s not just southern state teams either that are hurting either. You have the Islanders, the Oilers, Winnipeg (who barely make the bar but could be in trouble already), New Jersey, Washington (if they start to lose again), and I know it’s not north but any team from California could be at risk. That’s why I said long time ago 65-70 percent of the league is in trouble of being in the red permanently. This could cause team folds which for players = lost jobs. Less jobs means less money for players. I like Mark Cuban and he has the right idea, but players have to stop looking at this like they won’t make any money at all. You guys make a ton of money and its not a 9-5, 365 days out of the year job. So throw your diapers out and get it done. The only thing I disagree with is the 5 year contract. Should be 6 year guarantee with options to both player and team for a 7&8 year if wanted

A few months back he berated Skip Bayless on ESPN2 for about 20 minutes. It was hilarious.

He cares about winning and not just about himself. If some of these southern franchises cared about winning they might be able to turn a profit instead of just choosing to play the victim. Winning sells tickets. Losing sells your franchise to Winnipeg for 20 cents on the dollar.
