I read both sites and look at it like this: PHT is news, and Puck Daddy is editorialization. They already compliment each other very well, so I’m interested to see what collaborative efforts can bring.

I agree with colby7 here – all three are great blogs, but what makes them so great is that they specialize in different things. HockeyTalk is the best for straight-up news coverage. Backhand Shelf is awesome for hockey insight, opinions, and culture. Puck Daddy is hybrid of the two. There may be some very, very slight bias on occasion, but I’ve never found it to be overwhelming and overall, the site is surprisingly well put together and rather thorough.

I guess it just depends on which kind of a blog you value, but I’d recommend reading all three if you have the time.

If this is the only hockey blog you read.. Do yourself a favor and read Puck Daddy and Backhand Shelf as well. MvsW podcast is also basically the only semi daily hockey podcast running during the lockout.

Puck Daddy might be affiliated with Yahoo but they have some good in depth pieces and some great contributors (Chesnikov on Euro players and “the player” an unnamed insider)

I would have figured everyone here reads all three blogs..

Don’t get your hopes up. Wyshynski is a Devils fan who said last spring that the Devils had “already won ‘their’ Cup” by beating the Rangers in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Yes, I am sure the Devils felt like they won the Cup while watching the Kings celebrate after Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

personally, I would never mention that I teamed up with Yahoo. Haven’t followed puck daddy’s work ever, just because they are affiliated. Yahoo has the worst and most biased reporters / journalists out there.

I hope Greg Wyshynski is the exception
