I’ll watch hockey no matter what, because I love it, but starting to hope the season is cancelled soon and damage is maximized. Nobody on either side seems to realize that, despite the fact they are the decision-makers, hockey doesn’t just ‘belong’ to them. It is somewhat of a publicly owned asset. Initially, it is up to both sides to have it out by way of the negotiation process, independent of this third party (the fans, communities, etc). We are well past that point now though because it has become a completely ridiculous situation. They need to start making major concessions, with this third party in mind, just to get the game back on the ice or cancel the second season in eight years and see how that works out. This was never that complicated of an issue but the people involved made it complicated by being selfish, arrogant, and emotional. They forget about everyone else.

Hmmm. Another player happy in Europe. Are we to believe that playing in Europe is better than what the NHL is offering?
