Yes my friend, there sure are some real “beauties” here at PHT eh ? Nonetheless, it’s only a handful and it’s always the same ones who are as predictable as they are boring. It’s great that you also enjoy the play of our man Captain Brown. Even if I wasn’t a Kings fan, I’d still say that he’s got to be the quintessential North American captain … skilled, tough, gritty, lethal … the complete package ! Anyway, something has to give now with this lockout business or it is sadly going to be too late. Christmas is only two weeks off, after which nothing can happen for at least a week or so with the holidays and all. So my thinking and hoping is that they get it done now, perhaps even over the next few days ? I wasn’t as let down like others when this all started back in September, as I’d already resigned myself to there being no hockey for Oct-Nov. Now however, it is starting to really get to me, especially with no Saturday Hockey Night in Canada ! Maybe this is finally the week, eh ?

As for your man Dustin Brown, the dude is a beast and a warrior.Plays the game the way it was meant to be played. He is a worthy captain,good goal scorer, puts fear into the opponents and is a good role model and example for younger players to follow after. He’s one of my favorite players in the league.So glad he got to hoist the Holy Grail of hockey.

Hej da Sverige …

For those who weren’t aware, Frolunda is a suburb located in southwestern Goteborg, Sweden’s 2nd largest city. And thirty years ago today, yours truly was living in Lansmansgarden which is situated in northwestern Goteborg ! Anyway, with this Duchene character now heading off to Switzerland, it just occurred to me that we haven’t had any recent updates on the leader of the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings ? … you know, our man Captain Brown ? Hopefully he’s keeping well there and staying safe from the Swiss mob and such ? I’ve personally traveled through Switzerland from one end to the other. And while it’s an undeniably beautiful country, I wouldn’t trust those people for a second ! Before you know it, those people will have you bamboozled with watches, chocolates and financial trickery … almost to the point where you think you’ve lost your mind ! It’s a dangerous and crazy place friends and therefore we can only pray that Captain Brown is staying out of harms way ? Hopefully God is looking over our Captain, but it sure would be nice to have some word of his doings from PHT, eh ?
