Joey and other assorted friends. I’m convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that “joy” now awaits us with Bettman’s planned conference tomorrow ! Yes, there will be an agreement announced and we will have a season this year ! I knew in my heart from the very start that this just had to be a “contrived” impasse. And I’ve been convinced all along that just as sure as rats are inclined to leave a sinking ship, so too are those with wealth inclined to behave in a predictable “self-serving” fashion such as this. So regardless of the upset which has now been had due to this idiocy, I for one say … “on with the show !” … :)

The sides are fairly close overall, with only a couple major sticking points and a fairly small amount of money between them. Its not going to take much movement from either side to get a deal done, so if theres any progress at all it could well lead to a deal.

Thats not to say a deal WILL happen, but things seem to be going pretty good. I don’t think the two sides would have met again at 10PM if there wasn’t something at least a little positive happening.
