i dont see this helping facilitate a deal unless players are desperate for a deal but afraid to break ranks in public, if they are the owners will have them..again.

Fehr may have lost the 94 season but has not been a work stoppage since

Bettman on the other hand has a work stoppage at the end of every CBA. He is
a puppet and a lackey for the owners does only whats best for them and not the league or its future

A sports reported in boston, Steve Burton, is reporting the lockout will end within 48 hours. He refuses to name his source.
Obviously, I want to believe this but Steve Burton “scooping” this story is hard to believe.
Boston news stations barley cover the Bruins. It took the Stanley cup finals in 2011, before we would get more than a score in the evening news. Sportscasters didn’t get names right, and their knowledge of the game of hockey is embarrassing.

It would be more productive for the CBA meeting to have a wide range of players represent the group. Not strictly a group of twenty something millionaire’s. Diversity in the group is a key to success.

I think I’d want Crosby (iconic value and ability to connect with Pens owner), Chara (physically intimidate Jacobs), St. Louis (veteran who might be more eager to resume play), Miller (well-read and has had opinions I’ve agreed with throughout the process), Parros (Ivy education never hurts, plus he’s not a star and can speak to the experience of a fringe player), and Ron Hainsey (he’s been there throughout the process and may have some credibility to the owners, and Winnipeg Jets connection).
