It also makes perfect sense to me that the league would not want the mediators in this session.. mediators would be more likely to notice any potential ‘funny business’ from the league than a group of hockey players would be.

I don’t understand how Jacobs is getting all the blame for this lockout? Last time I checked there are 29 other owners. Are you going to tell me that Jeremy Jacobs owns all of them? Seems like he is an easy target here by the fans, players, and media. However, I have a hard time believing that one owner has this much power! If you think he has this power, please explain how, because otherwise I am calling BS!

Perhaps not, but I guess if nothing else we will learn if the rumors about him being the driving force behind the owners hard line stance are true.

After all, it makes little sense for him to be the one behind it. Sure hes a billionair Republican, which means he wants to suck up every penny he can from people… but the owners current offer could really hurt the Bruins. It doesn’t make sense from a hockey perspective from him to want a more restrictive CBA, and a much lower cap.

So it should be interesting to see if he really is the roadblock hes being portrayed as.
