TJ Galiardi had three goals and six points in seven games with Bietigheim-Bissingen SC of Germany’s second-tier league, but now he’s back in his hometown, according to CSN Bay Area.

He suffered a knee injury, but it’s not believed to be too serious. He was able to skate with his old team, the WHL Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday.

“I figured I’d get some practices in with my old team,” Galiardi said. “I feel a little old right now. But that’s OK. The guys are good guys. All hockey teams are fun and it’s only a matter of time before we start chirping each other.”

Before the lockout began, Galiardi was projected to make $950,000 this season with the San Jose Sharks. He is scheduled to become a restricted free agent this summer.

Galiardi had nine goals and 15 points in 69 games with the Colorado Avalanche and Sharks last season.
