PHT’s Morning Skate takes a look around the world of hockey to see what’s happening and what we’ll be talking about around the NHL world and beyond.

Marvin Miller was a giant in sports labor, changing it to what we know it as today. His passing at the age of 95 has NHLPA Executive Director Donald Fehr thinking back on how important he was. (NHLPA)

to me a 48 game schedule would be a joke.i for one would not want my team to win the Cup during a shortened season, while others won it and deserved it fully by playing through a full season.just my opinion on it though.

Once the playoffs start the regular season means nothing.

As for copying the 1995 schedule, sign me up.. can’t wait to see a Whalers / Nordiques game.

In listening to Donald Fehr on Sirius, it appears we”ll have an CBA agreement forthcoming very shortly. Both parties could be compromising enough to establish a deal. They could capitalize on it, in memory of the great Marvin Miller.
