Eric Cole has a ring and a ton of broken necks and has kept coming back. Cole has been a solid player while Hamrlik has been an overpaid inconsistent pylon.

Hamrlik would never have come back from what Cole has come back from.
This place is full of stupidity and ignorance today.

Erik Cole, you are a moron! It’s obvious the players are the ones holding this deal up. Take your lazy overpaid butt back to Oswego and jump in a plow truck.

Better idea, why don’t you get a group of players together and buy a NHL team? Wouldn’t do that? what’s the matter? Overpaid players bleed you dry? You and your breezer wearing brethren are a disgrace to the game.

As much as I agree with Hmrlik’s assessment of the situation, I also agree with Cole. What Hamrlik said should have been said during one of PA’s con calls, not publicity. These public outbursts are signs of dissention within the ranks, and serves best the interest of the ownership.

hey Cole….GO AND F@#$ YOURSELF.atleast he has the balls to state his true feelings about the lockout.he doesn’t have to feel the same way as you do about the lockout.
when play resumes,since your so pissed at him,you’ll have the chance to let him know how you feel out on the ice where it really matters…not hiding behind your twitter account.

It goes to show you a lot about Erik Cole’s class in this whole thing by disclosing a conversation that another one of his union members said.. Now Josh Georges gets his name involved as well… The players really have disappointed me in the manner they have taken to social media pleading that they are being taken advantage of here…

They get paid a lot of money for playing a game and seem to be out of touch with reality… I will say it again, if it was not for expansion by the NHL and they only had 24 or 22 teams, then that is 150-180 or so players that would never have played a minute in the NHL. Not to mention all the other aspects a professional sports team employs.

Clearly, they haven’t listened to guys like Mike Modano who swear up and down that the last stoppage wasn’t worth it. I looked back to comments made after that lockout ended and people echoed what you basically said…they could have had the same deal in January or February which could have salvaged the season.

Truth hurts, eh, Erik? You…will…not…win. The owners can hold out a lot longer than you can. They can make money in other businesses that they’re involved in. Where else are you going to go? You can’t all go to Europe. How does working an average desk job making $50K and being some incompetent middle manager’s biotch strike you? You’re only angering and alienating more and more fans at this point. What makes you think that the deals will get any better with more and more revenue gone that can’t be recovered?

Count me as a Rangers fan who was anti-Rick Nah (though he is an upgrade from Dubinsky/Anisimov) but what does that have to do with this Cole/Hamrlik pissing match?

Side Note: If Nash shows up and has a pulse, he will be less of a bust then Bobby Holik and Wade Redden.

Cole is just an idiot. He actually acts like the players gained something from the last lockout, and that it was somehow nobel for some guys to give up the last years of their careers and a full years salary.

Know what the players got from the last lockout? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. They lost the fight, and signed pretty much the same deal the NHL offered them a year earlier. They threw away a year of their careers and collectivly over a $1 billion fighting the concept of a salary cap. The lost, and lost bad… and it cost them big, and hurt the game. Thats really something to take pride in isn’t it?

Sounds to me like Hamrlik is the one who learned the correct lesson from the last lockout… Cole not so much.
