It really is a great story. Wasn’t trying to make it less than that. I was just making the point that things like this usually go unnoticed in the grand scheme of things even though teams and players do them often. Kudos to the Preds.

Only you wouldn’t have the “Decency” to talk about Cheerleaders on a post like this. While everybody is saying how nice it is to see the Preds doing this for youth hockey, and you start talking about their godddamn Cheerleaders. Then again i think this is what weve all come to expect from the MegaDouche known as Blomfeld

@mpg44/joeyashwi – Don’t get me wrong here guys but I think that you need some perspective…..Personally I think these kids had blast and the people that did all this are very cool for spending there time doing it, but the stuff about “They will forever be bonded as teammates” and “This should be a required video for all the players” is a bit thick! Although this was a PR stunt it was not put on by the NHL or NHLPA! This was done by the Preds organization so that people don’t forget they have a hockey team and also to give a bunch of kids a great day…..Why do you have to take a story as nice and as cool as this one and try and turn it into lock out propaganda…..just give it a rest….

Another testament to the “decency” which still exists amongst us humans. Great job Predators ! And man do you guys ever have some nice looking cheerleaders, eh ? Which begs the question … why except for Edmonton, don’t we Canadian cities have hot cheerleaders like all the American teams seem to have ? I seriously don’t get that ?

Great story! It’s things like this that players do that goes above and beyond their contracts what is expected of them. It’s a nice reminder that without the players, the NHL doesn’t exist. Are any of the owners or Bettman doing anything like this?

This should be a required video for all the players. I think they are so caught up in the future of the game , that they forgot about the present and more importantly …. The past. These kids will remember this for the rest of their lives. They will forever be bonded as teammates . Not because of fame or money or skill …. But for heart ! Tons of heart! What is the only requirement to play the game !

As a guy who was there, this was an awesome thing for the kids. The reporters and bloggers that showed up even gave the kids their first ‘media scrum’ after the game. Was a really cool experience.
