i’m sure richards, and many of the other rangers have actually donated their own money as well. that was not the point of this article. instead of sitting at home, they got out and did something to help. that’s admirable regardless of how much they raised.

Well, as a percent of salary, if Richards (himself) gave 10K, my equivalent donation would be a couple of hundred $.

Lets just say that I have nothing to be ashamed of in terms of what I have donated. AND I actually suffered some loss in this storm (not tremendous but not insignificant either).

Please note that someone has now begun posting here under the erroneous names of “blomfelb” and “Ib4joey” ! Of course these names are fake and they should in no way be confused with either “yours truly” or blomfeld. blomfeld already has a good handle on who’s behind this little caper. But for good measure, he has also asked his old friend “Stransky” to take a look into this (ie: Stransky is a physicist and an expert in forensic causation analysis) and he’s assured blomfeld that he’ll have the name of this imposter within 48 hours, with a margin for error of “plus or minus” 2.5 hours. Once this imposter has been identified, then suffice it to say that he/she will be “dealt with” quickly and ruthlessly.

10k for Sandy relief? Yeah, that’ll fix someone’s driveway. What about thier house?

If the best they could do is 10k, the players should of at least matched it (and 20k still wouldn’t be worth a story)

Regardless of your views about the lockout, the players, and owners. Dont you think they are best served for an article about…..the lockout? The guy is doing good things to help people in areas that were devasted by Sandy. I am not a Ranger fan and i have my opinions about the lockout but in this case i applaud Brad Richards snd say thank you.

The bottom line friends is that Brad Richards is a “quality” human being, whereas Alexander Ovechkin is not. And it’s only because of people like Brad Richards, that one hasn’t completely lost hope for humanity. As an ardent and values-driven fan of the reigning Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings, I tip my hat to Brad Richards and the excellent example he’s setting !

Once again my astute friend Joey is right on the money, which is not to be confused with the money that the misinformed & uneducated NHLPA thinks they deserve. Hey cool babies, not saying you don’t earn the dinero with your play but you gotta always remember who signs the checks & not bite that hand feeding the necessary Alpo into your classic red dishes marked carefully “Fido” on em! No Mr. Richards while I don’t discount your charitable heart, the hurricane you SHOULD be worried about goes by the name of “Gary Bettman” and he’s coming to put you in your place fast so we can get this season started under the sensible terms the owners have in mind.
