And there in lies the brains, the intellect needed to assess a situation. Owners have the brains, the players have the grit. Love them or hate them, the owner’s brain builds the business, the player’s grit we love…. On the ice, that is.

I respectfully disagree with the owners being at fault any more than the players, it seems to me like the players want an equal say (just like I do where I work) but the fact is I work there and my boss(bosses) calls the shots. Its not like the players are working for peanuts, they could take 40% of HRR and will still be 1%ers…not to mention they have the best job a man could ask for.

No, the owners just know they have all the leverage. They can withstand ten lost seasons and still be richer than you me, or any payer every will be. They can jerk the players around, propose absolutely insulting offers, and somehow still seem reasonable. They’re the a-holes in this but the players need to realize that they will never win no matter how long they hold out for. It’s just an all around sh*tty situation and we the fans end up feeling the brunt of it.

Mike Russo, please report the CBA proposal facts, once you review them, the fans will be very angry with the NHLPA, especially Donald Fehr. As fans, we need to hear the truth. Also, players will be ashamed of themselves along with being mislead. I think once the facts have been presented to the public, a CBA deal will be completed. The players don’t have a leg to stand on it.

This comment is absolutely pointless. Every player that speaks out against this lockout is just PR, or talking to hear themselves talk. If you have something to say stop hiding behind Fuhr and stand up and say it to Bettman and the owners.
